I am broadly interested in using a combination of mathematical, experimental, and observational approaches to better understand the structure and diversity of ecological communities, and how these are being affected by anthropogenic stressors. With the Micheli Lab at Hopkins Marine Station, I am repeating a thesis from the 1960's to understand long-term changes in a biodiverse intertidal community. In the Dirzo Lab, I am researching top-down and bottom-up control of insect herbivory in terrestrial ecosystems.
